Welcome to my Whole30 journey! Before we begin, I want to share just a little back story.
We have successfully completed 3 rounds of Whole30. We have also had 1-2 unsuccessful attempts too. Trust me…. it happens!
It’s Not Perfect
My journey is just that, its my journey! It’s not a perfect Whole30 but I am willing to bet most Whole30 journeys are not! You have to do what works for you and your lifestyle.
I can tell you I don’t eat before I workout. I typically don’t have my Post workout meal 15-30 minutes after either. My meals are not always Whole30 plates. I mean there is always a protein but there isn’t always a veggie or fruit or extra fat. I mean my typical breakfast during the week is 2 eggs and black coffee. This is what I have time for and more than I normally do. We snack occasionally on Apples and Almond butter or carrots. Sometimes we even have a Banana Smoothie after dinner. That is probably the worst of it but this is My journey!
The Results
I say this is my journey and that I don’t do a perfect Whole30 but what I haven’t mentioned is….I still get great results! I still feel awesome while doing Whole30, I still get a ton of energy, I still sleep like a rock, I am still taking out foods that don’t always make me feel good, and I still Lose weight! The Weight is not the main reason I do Whole30, its a bonus! I do Whole30 because I love how I feel during and after. After a round of Whole30 I do my best to continue Whole30 on an 80-20 ratio. Some weeks I am better at that ratio than others and when I completely fall off I know its time to go again.
As I share my journey here on the blog, just remember its not perfect but its perfect for me! If and when you decide to do your Whole30 journey, remember yours most likely won’t be perfect either and that’s ok!
