Recently our oldest daughter Mae had a soccer tournament a little over an hour away. Sure, we could have driven back and forth but we figured it was her first “away’ tournament why not make it EXTRA special.
So, we went to all the “discount” sites and started to find a place to stay. We looked at serval that were fine but then we saw that where we were headed had a Stoney Creek Hotel and we knew that is exactly where we wanted to stay!
Why We Love Stoney Creek
As you know we are a family of 5. We are in the heart of the midwest and we love everything about the midwest. When we walk into a Stoney Creek Hotel we love the comfort of it. It’s not a stale hotel environment like most of the other local hotels. It has all the midwest charm that we love and makes you feel like you are staying in a big beautiful lodge. Our kids absolutely love all the details and character that Stoney Creek Hotels have.
Aside from the welcoming decor we love the room options. Each hotel have a several different room size options. In the Quad Cities we stayed in a themed suite. It had a king size bedroom, a sofa, another sofa sleeper, a desk, a 4 season balcony, a whirlpool tub and 2 bathrooms. Let me tell you, a family having 2 bathrooms was a game changer when everyone is trying to get ready at the same time! No matter what room you go with, you will get a very spacious and inviting room.
Almost every Stoney Creek Hotel offers a wonderful pool area, relaxing bar, and a hot breakfast in the morning. I mean, what more can you ask for?1?
If you are looking for more than just an average hotel stay… then you should stay at a Stoney Creek Hotel.

Our Stay – Stoney Creek Quad Cities
We relaxed and played in the room, We hit the pool with friends, We walked to dinner, and we had an amazing night of sleep! The next day we walked along the Mississippi River, had breakfast at Stoney Creek, and headed out for another day of soccer. Stoney Creek was just the oasis we needed on a busy soccer weekend.
The next time you are traveling throughout the Midwest for business, pleasure, or sports…. we highly suggest looking for a Stoney Creek Hotel. It truly is a Hotel Experience, unlike the rest.
