Here we are day 20 and I was ready to toss in the towel. I was emotionally drained from the loss of our dog and just really wanted fatty disgustingly delicious food from the moment I woke up. You know comfort food that makes you feel like crap directly after but also makes you so happy while eating it….
Even after an emotional night I still woke up feeling very well rested.
Breakfast
I didn’t give in… I fasted through breakfast. I just didn’t really have an appetite. So I had some coffee and water and went on with my day.
Lunch
The kids were wanting bacon and eggs….. so that is what I had for an early lunch. It wasn’t a big lunch but it was satisfying.
Even with being a rough day I still felt really good and productive all day.
Dinner
Dinner was leftover Italian Beef from Day 19…. It is definitely one of those meals that almost tastes better the next day. I had a side of roasted Potatoes and onions and coleslaw with Lemon Garlic Dressing. It hit the spot!
Oh the difference from the first half of Whole30 to the last half. I start to get less creative with my meals. I also try to cook less too! Again, its not that anything requires “more” cooking just because its Whole30 we just eat out a ton less so which means I have to cook more….
Sleep
The sleep I get while on Whole30 is reason enough to to keep this journey going! It’s so dang good!
