Here, we’ve only got one rule: Never, EVER let it COOL!
My kids pretty much request Hot Chocolate the moment that summer ends…
A few years ago (maybe more maybe less…time seems to slip by) there was a story on Facebook about someone finding something in a packet of Hot Chocolate. Those things don’t typically bother me but this one, this one made me toss out our packets and go homemade!
The reason the switch was easy is because this Homemade Hot Chocolate mix just happens to be made with ingredients we always seem to have on hand!

The Best Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
Hot Chocolate Recipe
- 2 1/2+ tbsp Hot Chocolate Mix (more or less depending on preference)
- 1 cup Milk
This is for a cup of Hot Chocolate but can easily be double tripled, or whatever you need/want
Instructions
- Add milk to a pot, whisk in Hot Chocolate Mix, continue to heat up and whisk frequently on medium heat. Be careful to not let it sit or sugar will burn on the bottom. Then pour into a cup and add anything you want! This Hot Chocolate is so good that it doesn’t NEED anything but we LOVE to add Marshmallows!
Enjoy!!
